The City Council of Espoo, located in the south of Finland, has published a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for the tender of a public-private partnership (PPP) school project. The government will be partnering with a private company to develop, finance, design, build and maintain up to five schools and kindergarten centres in the city.

The proposed projects are:

  • Perkka school and Perkäka kindergarten and residential park

  • Nauriskatalo School and Nauriskoski / Nöykkiönniity kindergarten

  • Kilo school and kindergarten

  • The secondary school element of the Kuitinmäki school (formerly Tähtiniity School) and kindergarten

Various plans are also considered for the possible replacement of the existing North Tapiola school and Sepo school property in a new unified North Tapiola school.

The council plans to launch the tender on 11 December 2018.
