Financing proposed for Seraya SEA Energy Transition and DI Fund

Asian Investment Infrastructure Bank (AIIB) has proposed a US$120 million financing into the Seraya Southeast Asia (SEA) Energy Transition and Digital Infrastructure (DI) Fund.

Financing's main objective is to support energy transition and enhance digital connectivity in Southeast Asia. It intends to enhance Green infrastructure; Connectivity and Regional Cooperation; Technology-enabled Infrastructure. The Fund proposes including a co-investment sleeve of up to US$60 million. Project result indicators include:

  • the capacity of wind farms serviced;
  • the amount of CO2 emissions abated for EV chargers;
  • the Percentage of female employees across the Fund’s data center portfolio;
  • the Percentage of fund investment aligned with Climate Finance;
  • the Percentage of data centers to have access to renewable energy sources; and
  • the Percentage of transport assets to possess green credentials.
