GS Inima, the project owner for IWP plant in Barka, has signed a financing agreement with the Export-Import Bank of Korea and KEB Hana Bank.
The project cost is estimated at US$130 million, 70% of which will be provided by Export-Import Bank of Korea and 30% will be provided by KEB Hana Bank.
The desalination Independent Water Plant (IWP) will have a capacity to process approximately 100,000 m3 per day. GS Inima expects to start operations for the IWP plant in 2024. It has a concession period of 20 years.
