Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions has reached financial close on the third phase of Northside, a mixed-use student housing community for The University of Texas at Dallas, USA.
The upcoming phase of the project will feature mid-rise apartments situated on a 5-acre plot adjacent to Phase 2. This development is an integral part of the vibrant Northside community, catering to the needs of over 25,000 students, faculty, staff, and young professionals from the University and the greater Richardson, TX area. The US$38M expansion of the development will add an additional 370 beds to the community.
Balfour Beatty Communities, the same company responsible for leasing and managing Phase 1 and 2 units, will handle the leasing and management of the apartments upon completion. Dallas-based Andres Construction, in collaboration with Architecture Demarest, the lead design firm for Phase 2, will be responsible for the construction of the project. The anticipated completion date is July 2020, aligning with the occupancy requirements for the 2020/2021 school year.
