Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions together with Axium Infrastructure have announced the financial close for a mixed-use student housing project for Vanderbilt University. Delivered via public-private partnership (P3), the project will include student housing units and a 13,000 sq feet collaboration space, "Co-Lab". This development will advance the University’s mission to provide affordable housing for graduate and professional students and, thanks to co-curricular spaces, will help them build community and foster interdisciplinary connections.
The residential facility will be located on Broadway between Lyle and 20th Avenues, putting campus and other major points within the Midtown area within easy walking distance. The project is expected to be finalized and opened for use in August 2023. In addition to housing and a Co-Lab area, the facility will include amenities such as a fitness center, public courtyard and 25,000 square feet of retail space.
