International Public Partnerships Limited (INPP) has reached a financial close on a new police headquarters in Offenbach, South-East Hesse. INPP has invested EUR9.5 million (US$11.27) for a 45% shareholding in the project.
Awarded in December 2017, the project is developed by a winning consortium comprising INPP Public Infrastructure Germany GmbH & Co. KG, Amber Infrastructure GmbH, and Goldbeck Public Partner GmbH. The project has an investment of EUR190 million (US$225 million) and is already constructed and transferred to the Federal State of Hesse.
The police headquarters covers 36,645 square meters piece of land and is located 5 km from Frankfurt. The building can accommodate up to 1,000 staff and features office space, meeting areas, a police station, cells, forensic science laboratories and other ones, such as a parking deck and outside facilities. In addition, the headquarters includes 890 solar power panels with a generation capacity of 302kWp, a combined heat and power plant and a low-energy heating/cooling system.
