France's Egis and its Mexican partner Omega have closed the financing of the Golfo Centro highway project in Mexico.
Public development bank Banobras financed the project in January 2018 and Mexican financial group, Grupo Financiero Banorte, has given more than €100 million to the concessionaire.
The PPP project includes a 13-year contract for the operation, maintenance and reconstruction of 142km of toll roads between Mexico City and the port of Tuxpan, in Mexico’s Gulf coast.
This road unites the centre of the country (Mexico city) with the port of Tuxpan in the Gulf of Mexico and average daily traffic amounts to 170 000 vehicles.
