GS Inima, its partners Aljomaih Energy and Water Company and SOGEX Oman, have reached financial close to design, build, operate and maintain the Ghubrah III Desalination Plant in Oman.
The Ghubrah Desalination Plant, with an investment of US$ 370 million designed to produce 300,000 cubic meters of desalinated water daily, will be financed by international and local banks, including KEXIM, Standard Chartered, and Bank Dhofar. GS Inima, as the EPC contractor, will design and build the plant, with commercial operations expected in early 2027. Nama Power and Water Procurement Company awarded a 20-year concession to GS Inima (52%), in partnership with Aljomaih (24%) and SOGEX Oman (24%), to manage the project.
