ABC 02 consortium, comprising Invesis and Alheembouw, has achieved financial close for the Egied Van Broeckhoven School project.
Alheembouw, as the main contractor, is responsible for the complete construction of the project designed by B2Ai architects. BAM FM provides the architectural and technical maintenance of the infrastructure for a period of 30 years. The consortium has entered into a EUR35 million (US$36.3 million) agreement with KBC Bank NV and Baloise Belgium NV.
The scope of work involves the design, build, finance and maintenance of the Egied Van Broeckhoven School including project spaces, an auditorium, an open learning landscape, a multifunctional room, a sports hall, 13,000 m² of new or renovated building space. The new school will be located in the buildings of the former Vandenheuvel brewery, within walking distance of the West station in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. The school will accommodate up to 860 students.
