Financial advisor sought for Kansas City port redevelopment P3

The Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri (Port KC) has published a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a financial and commercial advisor to support the authority prepare a project to redevelop a portion of Port KC property through a public-private partnership (P3).

The redevelopment concerns a former steel mill site spanning approximately 415 acres along the Missouri River. Port KC wishes to develop the site as an inland intermodal/multi-modal port and deliver the Project via an optimal P3 structure for the development, design, construction and operations of the inland port.

The selected advisor will advise Port KC on the development of the financial aspects of project procurement documents and the public-private agreement, to include, without limitation, advising on optimal financing structure(s) (including delegated finance, if appropriate), economic planning and forecasting, feasibility assessments, optimal business models, and financial modeling.
