The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has announced that the restoration work on routes PY05 and PY08 on the Azotey – Yby Yaú – Pedro Juan Caballero section reaches 97%.
Milling and replacement of punctual potholes and construction of cellular sewers of 3 x 3 m are being developed at the Azoty – By Yaú – Pedro Juan Caballero section. The work is promoted by MOPC through the Dirección de Vialidad and under the coordination of the Unidad Ejecutora de Proyectos (UEP), while the Rovial-Caldetec consortium with a PYG53 million (US$7 million) investment is responsible for setting up the route then maintenance.
The project includes rehabilitation works for the PY05 and PY08 highway sections in Paraguay. The PY08 highway section runs from Azotey to Yby Yaú while PY05 highway connects Yby Yaú to Pedro Juan Caballero. The aim of the project is to provide convenient and safe transport for users.
