The Mayor of Miami-Dade County has confirmed that a final Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued for the Civil and Probate Courthouse project on 1 August 2018. This involves the design, construction, financing and maintenance of a 600,000 square foot (55,740 square metre) civil courthouse, with 46 finished courtrooms at completion.
Prior to the issuance of the final RFP, the County met with five developer teams that had previously submitted proposals for the project. These include four teams that responded to the previous soliciation, cancelled in June, and New Flagler Courthouse Development Partners, LLC (NFCDP), which submitted an unsolicited proposal for the project in January. All have expressed a continued interest in the project.
A pre-submittal conference was held on 20 August and attended by 38 representatives of interested firms.
