Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) announced the final close of the Allianz Global Diversified Infrastructure Equity Fund II (AGDIEF II), which was held at EUR 1 billion (USD1.05 billion).
Managed by Allianz Capital Partners (ACP), the fund focuses on significant investment themes including the energy transition, digital transformation, sustainable mobility, and the circular economy. AGDIEF concluded its fundraising at the close of 2020, amassing over EUR 1 billion (USD1.05 billion). Its successor, AGDIEF II, was initiated in Q4 2021 and reached its first close at EUR 550 million (USD 581 million) in the spring of 2022. Over the span of four years, AGDIEF and AGDIEF II jointly secured commitments exceeding EUR 2 billion (USD2.112 billion) from clients. The investment portfolio is anticipated to be highly diverse, spanning various sectors, regions, and underlying investments. Plans are underway to introduce a successor strategy in 2024.
