Fiera Infrastructure and Palisade Infrastructure have announced an agreement with Amp Solar Group Inc. (Amp Energy) to jointly acquire 100% of the equity interests in Amp US Primary Holdings Inc. (Amp US).
The transaction happens after the Inflation Reduction Act, passed in August 2022, provides the United States with a strong and long-term framework for renewable energy policy, accelerating the policy momentum for state-level community solar projects. In order to bring the financial and economic benefits of solar generation and battery storage to local communities across the US, including low-to-moderate income households and housing authorities, the buyer will continue to support the company's long-term strategy to develop, own, and operate its growing portfolio.
The transaction is expected to close in March 2023, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
