The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) has awarded a USD127 million contract to Webber, the US construction subsidiary of Ferrovial, for the widening of a 15-kilometer section of the Dallas North Tollway in Texas, USA.
The selected firm will be responsible for the widening of existing toll road from three to four lanes in each direction, widening of 22 bridges as well as upgrading overpasses and building new ramps. The project will help to alleviate congestion in north Dallas while improving connections to Collin, Denton and Grayson counties.
The work is scheduled to begin in September 2022 and is estimated to take 40 months.
