Ferrovial has announced the completion of the third segment of the North Tarrant Express (NTE) 35W project in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.
The project involves building and operating a new extension (segment 3C) to the North Tarrant Express in Texas, the segment will extend along 6.7 miles (11 km), from Heritage Trace Parkway, north of US 81/287, to Eagle Parkway, in Denton County. The section consists of improvements with the reconstruction of main lanes, expanded frontage roads and the addition of TEXpress Lanes. When completed, the project will offer drivers a safer and more reliable choice when traveling around the region.
A concession Cintra - Ferrovial financed and designed the new highway system and will operate and maintain this segment along I-35W on behalf of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Cintra is the majority shareholder (53.7%) and capital partners are Meridiam (17.5%) and APG (28.8%). The project was completed three months ahead of schedule by Ferrovial Construction and Webber.
Investments in the project amount to more than US$1 billion. The project supports Ferrovial's commitment to invest in America's infrastructure.
