Construction of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCCLEX) has commenced, following an official ceremony. The 8km expressway will function as the third bridge between Cebu City and Mactan Island, located in the central region of the Philippines.

Metro Pacific Investments Corp. proposed to build and operate the expressway, signing a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement in April 2016. The estimated total investment required is PHP27.9 billion (US$521.7 million).
