Expression of Interest Invited for Jaffna International Airport Expansion Project in Sri Lanka

The Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee (CANC) has invited proposals on behalf of Airport & Aviation Services Private Ltd. for the Augmentation of Jaffna International Airport to enable the operation of Wide-bodied A330-type aircraft in Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Prospective participants must meet the following prerequisites and commit to their capital investment:

  • An average annual turnover exceeding USD 50 million over the past five years as of the Expression of Interest (EOI) opening date.
  • The interested party should demonstrate ample bank credit line facilities, at least equal to the project cost, as evidence of creditworthiness for completing the construction works.
  • The interested party is required to possess an audited balance sheet reflecting a minimum of USD 20 million in net assets for the most recent financial year.

The invitation for proposal submissions is extended to companies and Joint Ventures (JV) of any nationality. In the case of JV, all participating entities share joint and several liability for the entire scope of work. Completed proposals must be submitted to the specified address no later than April 3, 2024.
