The East-West Railway Company (EWR Co), a setup initiated by the UK Secretary of State for Transport, has launched a prior information notice (PIN) for the start of the formal rolling stock procurement process.

The Invitation to Tender (ITT) will be issued for the interested companies to supply 11 three-car self-propelled units for services due to commence in 2024. The East-West Rail project is a railway facility that connects Oxford, Bicester, Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Cambridge in England.

The lodged PIN is expected to feature in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). Interested parties are requested to refrain from further interactions with EWR Co until the formal process begins.
