The Comisión Mixta Paraguay-Brasil (Paraguay-Brazil Mixed Commission) has evaluated the ongoing construction works for the Bioceánica Bridge project.
The bridge will link the cities of Carmelo Peralta in Paraguay to Puerto Murthino in Brazil. The commission reported that the work is progressing according to the planned schedule. Currently, the initial tasks such as the opening of access roads, embankments and the verification of land are underway.
The 1,300 meters long bridge structure is divided into three sections. Two of them constitute the access viaducts on both banks of the Paraguay River and a 630 m long cable-stayed middle section.
