The government of Ethiopia has launched a request for proposal (RFP) regarding the sale of a 40% stake in Ethio Telecom to privatize the company.
By this transaction, the government aims to push private investment in the economy and attract better competitiveness. The RFP invites private firms to add value to the company and implement best practices in infrastructure and technology. The request is open to all firms and not limited to the firms which have submitted their interest in the transaction.
Interested parties are required to pay a non-refundable fee of US$20,000 to obtain the RFP.
