Ethiopia adds two more projects for Off Scaling Solar Round 2 tender

The Public-Private Partnerships Directorate General (PPP-DG) within the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Ethiopia has expanded the initially launched Request for Pre-Qualification (RFQ) from four to six projects with a total capacity of 750 MW. 

The initially launched Scaling Solar Round 2 tender only involves up to 500 MW of total capacity. In addition to the Weranso, Welenchiti, Humera, and Mekele initial sites, the concession office has added two sites - Metema / Bahir Dar and Hurso, in the tender. 

The new deadline for the submission of documents for the application is also extended to July 9, 2019.
