Essar Infrastructure-Atlanta JV awarded a PPP road project Yesterday, it was the last day for the submission of bids for a NHAI road project in India. According to SmartInvestor, a senior Road Transport Ministry official has commented about the results of the bid:
Four laning of Lucknow - Sultanpur section of NH-56 from Km 11.500 to Km 134.700 in the State of Uttar Pradesh under NHDP Phase IV through Public Private Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) Toll Basis. The list of shortlisted bidders was this.
  • Awarded to: Essar Infrastructure-Atlanta JV
  • Annuity: NHAI will receive Rs 9.6 crore ($2 million)  premium per annum
  • Investment: Rs 1,043 crore ($220 million)
  • Length: 126 Km
