The City of Espoo has selected the company formed by YIT Oyj and Meridiam Investments II as the concessionaire for the planning, construction, funding, and maintenance of the new schools and day-care centers under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.
The project company was chosen as the PPP project’s service provider based on their quality and price offer. The agreement is intended to be signed at the beginning of June 2020. The developers will maintain the project for a period of 20 years.
The project involves the construction of the following schools and day-care centers in Espoo: Perkkaa school and youth center and Perkkaa day-care center, Nauriskaski school and Nöykkiönniitty day-care center, Pohjois-Tapiola coeducational school, Kuitinmäki school, and Kilo school and a day-care center. The objective is to have these new schools and day-care centers open from 2022–2024.
