Entergy has announced that it picks Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) team for the 1.2 GW Orange County Advanced Power Station (OCAPS) in Texas, USA.
The consortium is led by Mitsubishi Power, Sargent & Lundy and TIC will be responsible for the dual-fuel project which includes two M501JAC enhanced air-cooled gas turbines, a steam turbine, a heat recovery steam generator, and an advanced control system. Three units—Sabine 1, 3, and 4, boiler steam turbine units with a combined capacity of 1 GW to be decommissioned by 2026 will be replaced by the facility.
Construction is expected to begin in the Q2 of 2023, with the plant in service by summer 2026.
