EPC contractor chosen for Port of Susah PPP in Libya

Guidry Group, the project owner for Port of Susah, has signed the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Archirodon Construction for the design and construction of the port in Libya. Once completed, the Port of Susah will be the deepest multi-use port in Libya with the capacity to handle at least 500,000 TEU per year. 

The port will be located at an ancient port site in eastern Libya approximately 240 km east of Benghazi. The estimated investment value for the project is US$1.5 billion and it will be developed in four phases. The port infrastructure will facilitate container handling, grain handling and other bulk cargoes, general cargo and will work as a logistics base. The project is being implemented in four phases with approximately US$200 million investment in the first phase. 

Under the EPC agreement, Archirodon will undertake preliminary works at the Susah Secure Port which will enable the start of full construction of the port by the first quarter of 2023.
