Mapa Group has secured a contract for Phase 1 of the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir Project (ISWR-1) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The Juranah ISWR-1 Project operates on a BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, Transfer) framework, showcasing significant engagement from the private sector in crucial water infrastructure advancement. The initiative includes a strategic reservoir with a capacity of 2 million cubic meters (m3) and an operational reservoir with a capacity of 500,000 m3. Additionally, a pump station and 3.5 km of twin pipelines will be developed to facilitate reservoir filling. The Consortium, comprising Vision International Investment Company, Gulf Investment Corporation G.S.C, and TAQA, secured the project award.
