Municipality of Catania in Sicily, Italy had concluded the expression of interest process for the Lot 26 - commercial area lease at Fontanarossa-Catania international airport. The authority had opened the economical offers for the project on April 07, 2021.

The concession involves five-year lease of 315 sq meters of landside external area where food and beverage-related commercial activities can be implemented. The authority expects the private partner to provide gastronomy-related services such as bar, restaurant, over-the-counter food products, ice-cream shop etc.
