The Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has launched an expression of interest (EOI) for the potential privatization of Ras Al Khair integrated desalination and power plant (RAK).

RAK is an operating asset with 1.05m m3/d of water and 2.65 GW of power capacity. A majority sale is envisaged with the proposed contractual structure in-line with the market standard IWPP/IWP framework in KSA. The incoming investor will also have the option to take-over O&M of the plant.

The deadline to submit the interest for the project is June 25, 2020. You can find more information about this EOI on our business opportunity page here.
