The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has extended the EOI deadline to design, finance, construction, operation, and maintenance of The Chincha Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) project.
The project will benefit 345,000 residents of seven districts such as Chincha Alta, Chincha Baja, Grocio Prado, Pueblo Nuevo, Alto Larán, Sunampe, and Tambo de Mora, improving their quality of life by reducing diseases related to the misuse of wastewater without adequate treatment. The Chincha WWTP is co-financed by the Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation, requires an investment of US$ 96.5 million (without VAT), and will be developed over 24 years (four years: design, financing, and construction, and twenty years: operation and maintenance).
The concessionaire company will be responsible for the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of approximately 21 km of main collection networks and pumping lines, a pumping station, two new 600-liter per second wastewater treatment plants, and 7.7 km of lines for the final disposal of treated wastewater. If no competing offers are received by January 2, 2025, the project will be awarded directly to FCC Aqualia, S.A.
PROINVERSION has invited investors to submit their expressions of interest to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Chincha, Ica, Peru.
