The Ruta 68-78 Road Connection Concession project has begun its evaluation stage with a view to obtaining the Environmental Qualification Resolution (RCA) in Chile.
The project involves the development of a highway of approximately 9.2 km in length that will run through the communes of Maipú and Pudahuel, in the Metropolitan Region. The project also includes the construction of 21 structures and a dual carriageway expressway with three lanes in each direction, separated by a median and with a maximum design speed of 120 km/h.
The US$259 million highway project has a concession period of 45 years. Construction is expected to take about 23 months.
