Engineering consultants sought for road PPP in north-west Germany

The German state-owned project management institution, Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und -bau GmbH (DEGES), has launched a tender for engineering consultancy services for the A1/A30 (Lotte – Münster/Rheine – Lotte) road project in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The project involves the construction of a six-lane extension of the A1 to about 36.8 km in length and the A30 to about 5.6 km in length, the conversion and extension of the motorway junction (AK) Lotte / Osnabrück and the rebuilding, conversion and extension of resting facilities, and the operation of the entire subject matter of the contract (including upgraded sections and existing sections of the A1 and A30) for a total of approximately 91.1 km, including winter service.

The engineering services sought include the concept for the planning and construction process, preparation of the technical tender documents, and support of the award procedure in technical terms. The contract will be effective for 36 months.

The deadline for the tender is 19 March 2019.
