Energisa Group has acquired a 100% stake (2.33 billion shares) in Gemini Energy from Perfin Apollo Energia. The transaction is valued at BRL882.50 million (US$159.03 million) with a rate of BRL0.3530 (US$0.069) per share.
Gemini Enegy provides services in sector of energy transmission. It holds stake in various transmission line concessions in Brazil including two transmission lines in North region connecting Tucuruí to Xingu and Pará to Amapá as well as a transmission line in the Southeast connecting states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. These concession contracts are valid between 2038 and 2041.
The transaction is subject to approval from National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).
