Energie Baden-Württemberg (EnBW), a German energy company, has announced to divest a 49.9% stake of its electricity transmission business operator TransnetBW.
The company is in search of a long-term investment partner to finance the expansion of its power grid business. EnBW intends to invest a total of around EUR12 billion (US$12.87 billion) by 2025. Out of which, more than EUR6 billion (US$6.43 billion) will be invested in electricity and gas grids, whereas approximately EUR4 billion (US$4.29 billion) will be used to fund renewables and fuel switch projects.
