The Ministry of Public Works and Communications in Paraguay has announced 98% completion for the Emboscada penitentiary center Lot 1 in Cordillera district of Paraguay. The project also includes a wastewater plant that has reached 85% of completion. 

The civil works works are practically finished, including 100% progress in areas such as the structural interconnection gallery, gatehouse, main access, service ramp, kitchen and infirmary, visitors' sector and the lower and upper water tank, in addition to the general roof. Similarly, the cell pavilion area on the ground and upper floors, machine room, workshops on the ground floor, dining room plus the sports area and kitchen and laundry room, located on the ground floor sector, are in the final stage.

The investment value of the project is PYG74.4 million (US$10.6 million). The construction contractor is Aponte Latorre SA.
