EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare (EllisDon) has been awarded a fixed-price contract to build and finance the Orléans Health Hub Project. The contract is valued at CAD 59.7 million (US$ 45 million). The selection of EllisDon is the result of an open, fair and competitive procurement process overseen by a third party fairness advisor.
EllisDon will now mobilize on site and work will begin this summer. At the peak of construction, it is expected approximately 200 workers will be on site. Construction is expected to be complete in spring 2021.
The Orléans Health Hub project involves the construction of a new facility at the corner of Mer-Bleue Road and Brian Coburn Boulevard. The 96,000 square foot facility will bring together several partners organizations to provide community-based health care across Ontario.
