Eight teams prequalified for Rabigh 4 IWP in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has prequalified eight companies as part of the procurement process for the development of the Rabigh 4 IWP in Saudi Arabia.

The project involves the development of an independent water plant (IWP) using reverse osmosis seawater desalination technology in Rabigh on the coast of the Red Sea in the Western Province of Saudi Arabia. The plant will have a capacity of 600,000 m3/day potable water. The list of prequalified companies or consortia includes:

  • Acciona Agua and Ajlan & Bros Energy Company Consortium;
  • ACWA Power;
  • Cobra Instalaciones Y Servicios, S.A;
  • Kahrabel FZE (a subsidiary of Engie);
  • Marafiq and Alfanar Company Consortium;
  • Marubeni Corporation;
  • Utico FZC, Mowah Co. CJSC, and CRCCI Consortium;
  • Veolia Middle East.
