Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP) has prequalified eight teams to develop a desalination plant with capacity to treat approximately 300,000m3/day, to be located at Al Ghubrah, a suburb of Muscat, the capital city.
The authority issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in February this year. Of the eleven bids submitted, the following have been prequalified to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP):
OPWP is currently working to finalise the RFP which will be issued to the prequalified applicants upon receipt of the relevant approvals, expected in the next few months.
