A mixed syndicate of Lille and Merville airports in France has awarded the management concession of Lille-Lesquin airport to Eiffage in association with Aéroports de Marseille.
Eiffage will take charge of the management of Lille airport from January 1, 2020. The concession period of the project is 20 years. The Eiffage was chosen over two other concessionaires which have vast experience in airport management: the Vinci group and the Hauts -de-France Chamber of Commerce in association with Egis.
This project includes operation and maintenance of Lille-Lesquin airport in Lesquin. The airport is located 7 km away from the city Lille. The airport handled 2 million passengers in 2018, a 9% increase from the previous year. There are 14 companies present on the airport and it connects to 62 destinations.
