Alexandria port authority has announced that it has launched a tender process to develop a bulk grain terminal and a dirty bulk terminal, both at the Dekheila Port in Egypt.
The two terminals will be developed on a design, build, finance, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) basis for a period of 30 years.
For the bulk grain terminal, pre bid meeting is scheduled on 1 June 2014. Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 20 July 2014.
For the dirty bulk terminal, pre bid meeting is scheduled on 8 June 2014. Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 27 July 2014.
Egypt has recently launched several port projects. In early April, the Red Sea Ports Authority (RSPA), a subsidiary of Egypt's ministry of transportation, launched two tender processes for PPP projects, the Safaga Port project and the Eltoor Port project.
A week later, Egypt's Alexandria Port Authority launched a tender process for Alexandria's third container terminal which will be developed on a design, build, finance, operate and maintenance (DBFOM) basis.
