Suez Canal Authority, Holding Company for Water and Waste Water (HCWW) and New Urban Communities Authority in Egypt have issued a request for qualification (RFQ) seeking a private partner for the development of 20 seawater desalination plants. The plants will be operated using renewable energy.
The PPP Central Unit of the Ministry of Finance will provide technical assistance for the project. Pre-qualification process will be managed by the Sovereign Fund of Egypt.
