EDIF III raises EUR 3.4 billion

First State Investment has announced that European Diversified Infrastructure Fund III (EDIF III), has raised EUR 3.4 billion (US$ 4.11 billion) in capital commitments. EDIF III has received EUR 2.2 billion (US$ 2.66 billion) in fund commitments and EUR 1.2 billion (US$ 1.45 billion) potential co-investment commitments from over 36 investors.

The fund is targetting mid-market, sustainable, mature, economic infrastructure assets in the European energy, transportation, and utility sectors.
