Malaysian IoT network provider Xperanti IoT Sdn Bhd and telecommunications infrastructure company EdgePoint Infrastructure have announced a collaboration to realize smart city ambitions in Penang, Malaysia by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The cooperation of the companies will be aimed at creating an ecosystem that combines both IoT solutions and intelligent telecommunications infrastructure. The collaboration will include expanding an existing partnership on Sigfox's networked Penang Parking app to integrate future IoT technologies such as flood monitoring, air quality monitoring and energy-saving solutions.
The collaboration between Xperanti and EdgePoint will bring innovative services to the Penang region with a focus on smart infrastructure, business model scalability.
