Ecuador to award Guayaquil-Machala road section concession

Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP) in Ecuador is to award the concession for 43.2 km section of Naranjal to Tenguel on Guayaquil-Machala road in January 2020. The scope of the project involves the expansion of the road to four lanes and the construction of the Naranjal side passage.

The concession period for the project is 30 years, including 3 years for construction of the road. The estimated investment for the project is US$221.22 million.

Besides that MTOP plans to concession nine road networks for maintenance and expansion.
