European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced a loan of EUR 30 million (US$ 36.12 million) for the construction of a new 24,750 m3/day wastewater treatment facility, to replace and relocate an existing facility currently co-located at the Ain Ghazal Treatment Plant (AGTP). The new facility will be located at Al Ghabawi and will serve approximately 5.5 million people, including 600,000 Syrians in Amman and the surrounding area.
