The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has launched tender for the interested firms to deliver consultancy services to assist the government of North Macedonia’s infrastructure plans under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of North Macedonia has requested the support of EBRD with a dedicated ‘troubleshooting’ team, directly subordinated to the Deputy Prime Minister’s cabinet, which would provide the technical and legal capacity to the Government for on-going transport projects in order to unlock investment in transport infrastructure.
EBRD intends to select and contract a consulting company (the Consultant) to provide a team of experts that will compose the Transport Infrastructure Delivery Unit (TIDU) that shall carry out the Assignment.
The expected outcome of the Assignment is the support to the Government of North Macedonia and relevant ministries and agencies through providing strategic technical assistance and coordination, and facilitation of accelerated implementation of transport projects. The TIDU will have a Head of Unit appointed by the Deputy Prime Minister, representing the Government, who will oversee and direct the work of the experts and prioritize the engagements.
The deadline for the submission of documents for tender is on April 25, 2019.
