DWPF has announced that it provided financial advice to Durham University on its procurement of the Mount Oswald student accommodation PPP project, which successfully reached financial close earlier this month.
The transaction will see 992 new student accommodation rooms being built by Interserve Construction, on behalf of a consortium comprising Equitix and Campus Living Villages (CLV). The project was financed via a GBP90 million (US$116.4 million) index-linked bond issue, which benefitted from a wrap by Assured Guaranty.
DWPF advised Durham University from its initial stages, with involvement in the development of tender documentation, dialogue meetings, commercial negotiation and appraisal of private sector bidders’ financial proposals.
