Dublin City Council’s Elected Members have approved Part 8 for the proposed developments of 345 new homes across four sites in Dublin’s Northside.

These projects are being funded through the National Social Housing Public Private Partnership program. All four sites are DCC sites in the National Social Housing Bundle 4 with the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage as the Approving Authority, Dublin City Council as the Sponsoring and Lead Authority, and the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) acting as the procuring authority, financial and legal advisors. The proposed development is:

  • Wellmount Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, consists of a greenfield site with 77 residential units in a 4 to 6-storey apartment block. The unit breakdown includes 38 one-bedroom, 25 two-bedroom, and 14 three-bedroom apartments.
  • The Croke Villas regeneration project includes two apartment blocks, each between 4 to 5 storeys high, comprising a total of 52 residential units. This includes 5 one-bedroom and 47 two-bedroom apartments.
  • The Collins Avenue site in Dublin 9, previously home to a Dublin City Council waste collection center, will be redeveloped into three apartment blocks with 106 residential units. The units will include 49 one-bedroom, 37 two-bedroom, and 20 three-bedroom apartments.
  • The site of the former Church of the Annunciation in Finglas, Dublin 11, will be redeveloped into a 4- to 5-storey apartment block for older persons, providing 110 residential units. The development will include 106 one-bedroom units and 4 two-bedroom units. The site is currently vacant following the demolition of the church in 2021.
