Dubai signed MOU with Zhong Tang Sky Railway
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai and Zhong Tang Sky Railway Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the potential of developing a futuristic suspended rail network.
The project aims to control traffic congestion by providing affordable mobility solutions for the public. RTA is working to consolidate the integration between mass transit to achieve its goal of seamless and sustainable mobility. It will also contribute to the implementation of the Dubai Self-Driving Transport Strategy, focused on converting 25% of the total city’s mobility journeys into self-driving transport by 2030.
Based in Chengdu, China, Zhong Tang Sky Railway Group is the developer of the "Sky Train"- a suspended railway system with trains powered by lithium batteries instead of electricity.
