Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has reviewed all the submitted expressions of interest for the establishment of a state-of-the-art cardiac centre in the Rashid Medical Complex under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The project invovles the development of a 110-120-bed facility to treat cardiac emergencies, along with inpatient and outpatient services. The new medical complex aims to relieve pressure on the cardiology department of in Rashid Hospital, the second-busiest unit in the hospital after the Emergency and Trauma Centre.
Last year DHA appointed a team of advisors, led by PricewaterhouseCoopers and supported by Mott MacDonald as the technical adviser and Allen and Overy as the legal and transaction adviser, to help select a suitably qualified private-sector partner.
